
Stacye Norlin MS, LPC-Intern, graduated with honors from The University of Texas A & M Commerce with a B.S. in Counseling. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Master of Science Degree in Counseling also from The University of Texas A & M Commerce.
Stacye is a compassionate yet forthright counselor who works from both cognitive and experiential perspectives. This provides a way for the client think differently, as well as, empower them to resolve the issues they find troubling. Stacye is an expert in the treatment of domestic violence, working with both victims and perpetrators of violence. Stacye is at the end of her 3000 hour internship and gains weekly guidance from Katrena Hart MS, LPC-S TEP CBT.
In addition, she is also trained in both play and activity therapy (see Activity Therapy). Stacye is available to provide services for issues in the following areas:

Stacye provides therapy for adults, couples, teens, and, tweens. The youngest client Stacye is seeing at this time is 10 years of age. Stacye had been clinical supervisor for the counseling staff at the New Beginning Center in Garland for the last several years. During this time she developed a thorough understanding and competence in working with relationships, trauma, anxiety, as well as, addictions issues. Stacye has found passion in working with teens and tweens within her church as as spiritual mentor. This skill can be used in the context of counseling regardless of religous preference. Prior to coming to the counseling field Stacye has worked within the medical field for close to a decade. These prior experience's allows Stacye to bring much diversity and wisdom into her counseling sessions.
Her genuine quality allows her to quickly develop trust and rapport, with clients, which is essential when working with young people.
Stacye also provids both trainings and presentations to other mental health agencies, medical personnel, universities, as well as, a variety of community groups.
